Vampire Hunter D takes place after nuclare and Biological war has takes place on Earth. And the out come was that man was sent back to the dark ages but with some High tech weapons and cybernetic horses. The night here takes a different look to it, with monsters and mutants roaming the land with little care since they feel they are the "top of the food chain". This story is about 10,000 years in the future when Count Magnus Lee, a very old vampire lord, who bit a human girl and wants to take a her for himself. Before Mangus takes her, she finds D and asks for his help, since he is one of the best Vampire Hunters out there. And so he goes on to the hunt to stop Mangus and his Minions for good.
Vampire Hunter D:Blood Lust is an interesting anime, setting itself as the sequel to the first one. But in reality it isn't the second one out all of the novels, it's more likely to be the 3th.
Blood Lust starts out as any Vampire classic movie. The girl is taken away and the Vampire Hunter is called in. Well unlike all the classics this one takes place 10 thousand years in the future and the Vampire Hunter a Dumpeel a half vampire and half human. As he is on the "hunt" he encounters three other vampire hunters who are after the same bounty, saving the girl who was kidnapped. But on this journey he begin to wonder, was this girl taken with her concept?
